"La Sirena" is also the name of our restaurant, one of the few in Panarea located near the beaches in the Drauth district.
The hotel’s restaurant, which makes creative use of typical Aeolian products, is known for its ingenious home cooking. “Millegusti,” which we invented, is a first course based entirely on herbs found on Panarea: capers, mint, olives, basil, and a “thousand” other secret ingredients.
And the pasta dishes with fish! Try spaghetti with clams, cuttlefish, or prawns, prepared with special ingredients from the restaurant’s vegetable garden - resulting in dishes with an original twist.
There is a vast assortment of second courses. In our restaurant, the fish that Nino catches each day is cooked in a variety of ways to satisfy the individual tastes of our guests. The fish can be barbequed, fried, oven baked, prepared Aeolian style, or made into a fish soup.
Choose from the many varieties of fish found in the sea near Panarea: swordfish, sea urchin, squid, rockfish, mullet, and many more. Baked eggplant with Parmesan cheese and bell peppers au gratin are a few of our famous side dishes. Other hotel favourites are grilled eggplant and caponata, a Sicilian dish made with zucchini, celery, olives, tomatoes, capers, and more. In keeping with the philosophy of Hotel La Sirena, all our dishes are simple and genuine.
Complete your meal with our fantastic cannoli, made with ricotta cheese and pieces of chocolate and pistachios – a sheer delight! Or dip in Malvasia wine homemade cantuccini (crunchy almond biscuits) fresh from the pastry shop on the neighbouring island of Lipari.
At Panarea, the food is flavourful and genuine. What could be better than experiencing these culinary delights in your hotel restaurant, where the atmosphere is so relaxing that you could almost be at home!
